this is a fuckin absolute banger of an album. There is something brutally beautiful about mixing melodic guitar riffs with harsh screaming voices from the swamplands. There is also something in their music that reminds me of the greatest band ever made: DEATH! For me the sound of Death is something that no band has ever come close to match. Worm is not a Death clone but they have captured some of the DEATH magic or the beautiful intensity of metal. Just buy this album

This sounds nothing like Opeth, yet it reminds me of the first time I listened to Opeth after death metal finally clicked, and this reminds me of that. Bluenothing would be more like Edge of Sanity. You have some great 90s DM worship, with a little acoustic guitar and some proggy songwriting in there, but it isn't too much. It's perfect. Worm makes some nostalgic, yet epic death metal. 4.5/5
